The Academy obtains its curricula on all subjects from the Nigeria Educational Research Development Centre (NERDC) the body charged with the task of producing syllabi for educational Institutions in Nigeria. It is worth noting, that presently we have a strong bias in the Science field of study out of the four approved by the National Education Council (NEC); namely: Science, Humanities, Arts and Vocational studies.
As a day School, the Academy is not responsible for feeding the students. However, Students/Pupils are being catered for from their homes under the supervision of the school. By this arrangement, we ensure that good and nutritional food are served to the students to enhance their growth and general wellbeing. Food vendors are not allowed into the school on heath and moral grounds.
Naturally, every school at whatever level, must relate positively with the parents of its students to ensure optimum development, especially academic achievements. To help foster this understanding, we have a Parent - Teacher Association (PTA) – through which issues of common interests pertaining to the progress of our students/pupils are discussed and resolved. We have a mutual working relationship between Excellent Entrepreneurship Academy (EEAcademy) and the community within which the school operates.
This is the crux of the whole schooling system. Students are being taught concepts outlined in the curricula using relevant methods of teaching depending on the nature of the topics and item difficulties. In most cases we use instructional materials to buttress lesson presentations for better understanding. Since development connotes the qualitative increase in the students’ cognitive and mental reasoning, resulting into high academic achievement, it is evidently clear that it correlates with Learning and Learning tasks assigned to the students. Our students have recorded tremendous progress during terminal and Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE).
Home work is very imperative towards reinforcing students learning outcomes and promotion of academic achievements. Moreover, all of the Textbooks have corresponding workbooks that are skillfully structured to buttress lesson presentations. Hence, students are constantly being assigned home works to keep them engaged at home. Essentially, homework constitutes 10% of our Continuous Assessment’s 40% in order to spread the weighted scores (Assignments, Classwork, Practical and Terminal Examination) to achieve hundred percent cumulative scores
